Hi OF,

I was meaning to post this as a wrap for 2019 so a couple weeks late I suppose. It's been an interesting journey over the past three to four years for me personally, from discovering the UG brand right here on OF to spending countless hours poring over threads with fascinating pictures and equally fascinating discussions. Along the way, I've collected and sold quite a few pieces - four Polerouters, a Monodatic, a Compur, a Uni-Compax, a Triple Date Moonphase and a couple time only pieces.

In 2019 I decided to be more strategic with what I truly wanted vs what simply looked nice or was a good deal. I seem to have a soft corner for early UG's and that is reflected in the three pieces I picked up and they now comprise my mini UG collection馃榾 I can't say I wear them often but still seeing them in the watchbox every morning is a joy. In 2020 I鈥檒l be looking to add a nice Tri Compax but for now thought I鈥檒l share some nice pics I took this morning.

Universal 'Watch' Compur 1st Gen Oversized 37.5mm circa 1934

Universal Geneve Compur Multi-Color Dial 35mm circa 1936 (thanks @bgrisso )

Universal Geneve Dato-Compax Oversized 37.5mm circa 1942

Hope you enjoyed the pics!
heavenly stuff!!! These early compurs are such beauties... hope 2020 will be a good year as well!

Lovely trio. Will the tri-compax be a steel version as well or are you going to introduce some gold in your collection?

Thank you. While initially I was hesitant to buy gold since I didn't wear it often, I've since realized I don't wear watches from the 30s-50s too often anyway as they are a bit fragile, even if they are in steel. So, I'd say I'm open to both at this point.
