Up for sale is a Universal Geneve Uni-Compax Dial for a Cal. 281.

Asking: $400 USD Firm

Dial diameter is 31.38 mm.

I sourced this dial off eBay, and quickly grabbed it when I saw the condition, not realizing I needed a Cal. 285 dial. I have kept it since thinking I would just grab a Cal. 281 with a poorly refinished dial. However, I recently sourced a Cal. 285 dial, so I no longer will be moving forward with this project.

I am asking approximately what I paid after shipping and fees.

This dial is extremely clean with very little patina and no damage, which I have learned is pretty rare for these UGs. For exact condition please refer to the photographs.

For reference - here is the original eBay listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ch...=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Fine Print: PayPal, Venmo, or F2F in New York

Price does not include any fees.

Price includes continental US shipping and insurance from FedEx/Parcel pro.

International shipping would be at cost and also insured from FedEx/Parcel pro.

Please study the pictures closely. Returns will only be accepted if dial has been grossly misrepresented.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to send me a message.

Thank you OF for the space!

nice dial. are you sure it is for a 281 movement and not a 285?

It is a very clean dial. My understanding is from the eBay listing I purchased it from. I really don’t have the expertise to tell the difference. I presume the dials aren’t interchangeable for the references though.

here is a pic of the face of a 285 movement. Not sure how dial is oriented but maybe you can check whether holes stack up with feet position ...

Red = registers
Blue = Stem and dial feet

Also, the 281 is a three register movement ...
