·Hi OF,
I have for sale a vintage Universal Geneve Polerouter Super I just don't wear as much as I used to.
Ref 869112/02
Serial 2494925 (Table would indicate it's from 1966)
Dial: Ivory dial with silver chapter ring. Original tritium lume has taken a burnt yellow hue. The 6 o clock plot seems to have popped at some point and is a darker color, see pics. Applied silver logo. Original lume plots all present. Baton hands in good condition. Date window with trapezoid crystal. The crystal has no UG logo in middle, and unclear whether it's a replacement or not. But it looks good. Dial has some spots on it, which appear in certain lighting and disappear in others. I tried to capture it in pictures.
Case: 36mm stainless steel case. 20mm lug width. This watch appealed to me for it's wrist presence, with a tall case and bullet crown, it wears nicely. Case reference and serial numbers engraved to case back. Original UG screw-down crown. Case has wear commensurate with age but has really sharp lines and appears to have original factory brushing.
Movement: Universal Geneve self-winding Cal 1-69 microtor movement. The movement was supposedly serviced in last few years but I have no service history. The watch has not given me trouble and is keeping good vintage time, but I can't guarantee continued performance as I have not had it serviced. A full service is recommended if this is to become a daily wearer. I have not gotten movement shots as the caseback is pretty sealed shut and my watchmaker did not have the tool to open this.
The watch will come with the generic two-stitch black strap.
The watch is located with me in NY. I'm asking $775 shipped CONUS. Rest of world at cost. No returns unless grossly misrepresented. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
