Hello OFers, On offer today is a gold plated Universal Geneve Polerouter Date with the 215-1 movement. While it has kept good time during the occasions I have worn it, it comes with no service history, so one is recommended before regular use. I do not accept refunds unless the watch is grossly misrepresented. Case: The 35mm gold plated case has wear commesurate with age, with small marks present all around, though no obvious big loss of plating. The stainless steel caseback is scratched and has no markings on the outside. The watch orginally came with a generic crown, which I replaced with a signed crown with the sheilded U, though it may not be the exact type for this model. The inner of the caseback has the UG and Hugenin Freres (HF) markings, as well as a couple of service engravings, though I am unsure of the history of these. Dial/Hands/Crystal: The white dial and gold dauphane hands are original to the watch, with patination present and some extra ageing around the edges of the dial at 2 o'clock and 9 o'clock. The lume in some of the hour markers is darker than others. The crystal has a trapezoid that looks good though it is not signed with the UG logo in the middle. The text on the dial remains crisp with a correct crosshair configuration. The crystal does have light marks though both it and the dial are very clear. Movement: The 215-1 Microtor movement has the patent number stamped and is in clean, running condition. The date rollovers correctly and can be quick set by reversing the hands and advancing again, though this is not recommended before service. Lugs/Strap: I have included a lightly used 19mm later Universal Geneve strap in red with a generic gold plated buckle. The strap really brings some pop to the watch, and is very comfy on my 6.5" (17cm) wrist.
