These are physically large watches bigger than other C Cases of their era, larger than a Omega Cosmic or Constellation or the Longines Admirals of their day
I am very grateful that I can finally contribute to this thread:
Razor sharp case edges, original crown and a pristine dial for an absolute steal of a price. Very bad pictures of the seller scared many people off I guess but I was really lucky.
Thank you very much @yvrclimber ! I will have it serviced at my watchmaker as I don't know the previous service history and I'll need to find a nice strap for it. Then its good to go, I am very glad to have found such a great example in immaculate, all original condition. 😎
@Meya if you are on IG, there is a #ferroviefriday hashtag a few avid UG FS collectors have used. If you want to find others with an interest, advice, photos, etc. Not super active, but it's a path.

Is the original FS cases fully polished? Any brushed elements? I've seen sooo many variations....
The reason I ask is that I'm planning to take a little "Cape Cod Polishing Cloth" to the case 😀

I can only comment on the Mk II variation of the Ferrovie dello Stato but yes - this is definitely fully polished.
