For sale is a Universal Geneve desk clock. Dimensions: 15x14x6,5cm. Made from brass(?) so heavy. Condition is in general nice but for the following issues: - damage on the plexi at 7 o'clock - the soldering of the wires is sloppy (red one is my work ) - somebody took the axis out of the hinges from the back door. No idea why but I fixed it with duct tape - the motor does run when a D battery is installed however the clock does not run - as far as I can see there is an issue with the spring of the balance (loose or broken) but there may be more - the movement itself is definitely not a USD 10 thing i.e it is Swiss made and has a clutch and jewels. Producer unknown (although I recall having read somewhere it was made by a model train factory) Prices for those clocks seem to be all over the place but given the issues my asking price is EUR 600 > Sat 13-1: NOW EUR 500 ONRO. No trades please. I live in the Netherlands and have solid feedback (see: Ebay mark020, TZUK and Horlogeforum.nl). More pics upon request.
I guess it's a wall clock too as it has a hole for hanging from a screw head. Very cool... but my wife would kill me. GLWTS.
I guess so too but it would look a bit weird I think (given the shape). It is triangular and if you would hang it it should hang above you I guess.
Oh that's interesting, and something that wasn't readily visible from the pictures. It might be worth adding a side profile shot.
