Nice oversized Universal Geneve Ref. 22704/1 Compax for sale.
Powered by the UG Cal. 130 movement, a modified Valjoux 72 (Valjoux 72.6) running at 21000 alt / h and housed in a oversized 39mm case.
Not seen often, this Universal Geneve Compax is in nice condition. The case has been polished and as typical for this reference the case back engravings are lightly stamped and hard to see, but the reference and serial numbers are clearly legible. The dial is in great shape, with only light spotting on the sunburst dial. The lume in the hands and dial are original and matching, and has aged to a dark color. The hands are all original, the chrono hand and sub-dial hands are blue steel. The crown is correct signed crown. The pusher tubes have corrosion on the exterior. The lume dots on the dial are all present except at 6:00 and the outer Tachy track is in very nice condition with all of the original blue painting.
The watch is running and keeps time. The chronograph functions properly, starting, stoping and reseting. But the service history is unknown, so watch is sold as-is. No returns unless not authentic.
