All great advice. Thanks to everyone who contributed.
😝I will give you $62 right now! 😀

$62 hmmmm. Sound good but I don't want to stick you with an old - not working watch. : )

Thanks to all the members who helped me with this watch. It is going to auction at Christie's on Dec 6th, lot # 10. This is a great forum and I REALLY appreciate the assistance.

very nice. Also agree with direct sale if you have reasonable offers. Save the buyer some and you probably net the same or more. Auction house will take their seller fee as well as buyers premium, so 27k is more like 17-18k to you (assuming 25/15)

I was close....32.5 less commission nets 26k, less sellers exp (if charged??)

As a side note on half the UG's sold. Expectations too high or bad pieces?

Yeah, both the big eyes were passed. What gives?

Not sure either. I didn't ask for additional photographs so can't really comment on condition but clearly the white dialled big eye had the wrong hand in the left hand sub-dial.

The timing of the sale seemed a bit odd to me. Not that long after the autumn Geneva sales but quite close to Christmas. That may not have been a significant factor - just a thought.

Pretty traditional auction. Christies, sotheby's, etc all have done NYC first week of December for at least the last few years that I recall
