Hi All,

Back for sale after a complete service, pictures attached.

Up for sale a very nice UG Compax reference 22705/1 from 1963-65 based on serial number.

I bought this watch from a member here, but now it is time to move on.

Case is in very good condition, with sharp edges, please note there are three scratches on the bottom of the case (see pictures). The engravings of the reference and serial number on the screw-down caseback confirms that the case remains unpolished in my opinion. Watch now has a sticker in the case back in order to protect the serial, and reference numbers engravings

Watch is powered by the famous and reliable caliber 130 of UG (Valjoux 72).

Dial is amazing and clean.

Comes with a UG buckle time period correct in my opinion.

I am asking 5500€ shipped internationally by insured registered airmail, but taxes and customs are buyer responsibility. I am based in Lisbon, Portugal.

I have some positive references here on the relevant thread.

Any questions or pictures, please just ask.

Thanks to OF for the space.

It is very well presented and looks beautiful.

-Dial is very nice. It does not seem to have aged and what patina and lume there is is as expected (darkened and in line with hands)
-Hands are correct but the second runner looks like a later version that is found in the 88XXXX references. However, as always there is the exception to the rule as we are around the time that things were changing quickly at UG so perhaps there was a bit of an overlap with newer parts being used on older lines (227XX).
-I have doubts that the crown is genuine but i could be wrong. The Crowns around that time had a very distinctive shape.
-The valjoux 72-6 is a fine movement. Better thanthe v72 found in the later chronos. Comparable in quality to the version used by rolex on the Paul Newman daytona. Movement is correct and looks very clean
-Serial and reference are visible which is great
-Crystal looks like it is signed. Check it is ...

Very nice 22705 in great order and IMHO, priced reasonably. I presume you will want to service it which will not be cheap!
