The alternative approach is more gin to steady the nerves.

I think these photos of the dial are more focused.
A good point was made.."if the serial number indicates that the UG watch was made in 1938,..where was the watch for the next seven to nine years before Verga came about?"

Yes - it very likely does house that tiny chrono caliber.

It is a wonderful watch, unfortunately you didn't post any good picture of the dial and of the caller, but I believe that it is a great one.If you can post some better pics it will be great. If you don't want it anymore....

    Beautiful.

In the thread below (dedicated to small chronographs) there's a Turler branded chronograph which looks exactly like the UG in the OP.

Posted by Zio Maurizio. Identical dial design, except in black, identical case it seems-- the only thing missing is the Universal Geneve Brand.

Great condition ! These ladies chrono are quite rare.
Are you sure the dial is original ? The "U" from "Compur" is weird, never seen that and there is a font difference between minute scale and tachymeter.
Here are 2 from the same era without these particularities ::confused2::

Not sure they're necessarily "ladies" chronographs, in the thread from Orologi & Passioni there's a photo of Ferrari, quite an imposing man, wearing a 26mm Rolex chronograph with Valjoux 69 according to the OP in that thread (user Fjodor).

As for the beautiful UG Compur with salmon dial, is it proper form to question the originality of other people's dials when they're not asking for validation, announcing a brand new purchase they might be able to return, or making any misleading claim? I certainly would not welcome such public questioning if the watch were mine.
    Best regards,
    S

This particular reference 22105 is described as a Ladies chronograph by Sala on page 226, in the ladie's section, so I assumed Sala was right.
Concerning the authenticity, I just wanted to learn something if it's authentic I'm glad to know that UG did square "U", about the fonts, on the side view photos, the "3" from the tachy seemed top rounded, with the front picture just posted, I can see that I'm wrong, it's flat.
Now, Vintage Chrono didn't seemed to be offended by my question, some members asked me the same about one of my own dials and I didn't mind, thus what you would personally welcome or not..., The watch isn't yours and I wasn't asking you.
