    Hello everyone
I am new here, I come from Belgium.
What do you think of my UG Compax 224102
It's not the same as Bernardini's.
It is the same references and the caliber 287.
    Thank you for your comments

    Salut Fred,

I think it is all original a part from, MAYBE, the hour and minute hands: or better they are original UG but perhaps belonging to a different watch.
I say this because the minute hand is slightly too short and also because I see stick hands (as oppose to leaf hands) more appropriate for this dial, but again it is a maybe as with UG the client could have chosen to have these hands as oppose to the "standard" one at the point of purchase of the watch, so it is possible they belong to the watch even originally.

    Dear OF members,
I would like to share my newest acquisition with you - and since it is a UG Compax ref. 224102, let me do it here... :)

    Universal Geneve Compax
Reference 224102 (small non-impermeable round pushers)
    Serial number 1063723
Dial with mirror numerals and UG shield logo. Matching hands.
    Cal. 287
    Diameter 36mm

Currently I have it mounted on a GF steel bracelet (because it´s bloody hot outside).

Btw. I am looking for part no. 8270 minute recording jumper (currently there is a custom replacement in the movement, which is the only flaw of this beautiful watch).

Really nice piece, love the patina. Look for the part but in reality, as these watches age further, fabricated movement parts are going to be more and more common. Guess I'm saying, do no harm...Congrats.

As I already posted in another thread I landed a 224102. Found it in my ebay rss feeds and after some research I think this is an original dial. Seller sent me an additional pic which confimed the swiss at 6. I set my snipe and remarkably enough I was hit at exactly that amount... Reason I wanted to buy this watch is the size: 36mm, the fact that it has round pushers and (mostly) that this kind of pushers are only found in a very limited number of references (3 I think based on Sala).

Obviously the dial is not in great condition but it is exactly as in Sala and as far as I could find after a lot of googling the only one with that dial which emerged so far. I will send it to my watchmaker for a service shortly and will ask James H to (at least) relume the XII and hands and perhaps the dots. Crown is an ugly replacement and I will have to source a new (well: preferably an old one). Serial is 1.063.XXX btw. IMG-3465.jpg IMG-3467.jpg

Just for reference: another one was sold on Ebay in (I assume) February 2020. Dial obviously not original. Price unknown (and not to be found on Ebay anymore). Asking may have been USD 1.590. Link: https://watchcharts.com/listing/149...02-vintage-chronograph-watch-100-genuine-1930

Me neither. I think I will go for a full relume because I think the blobs are not original anyway.

It looks awesome- I love the deco layout of dial. Looks much better in your photos than the Ebay sales listing too. Great catch for a rare watch!

    I was sniping against you @Mark020 ... :);)
Wanted to have a second ref 224102 (the two tone dial is cool!) in my collection. Mine is the one with shield logo shown in a post above. Also found on eBay in 2019 but deal closed elsewhere.
