I bought this a while ago as a project watch but never quite got round to it. It's powered by a 262 movement and at 38mm wide, it is a beast by Universal standards. The case ref is 31240, with a serial in the 1.4 mil range which would put it around 1950. Can anyone tell me, or better, show me what kind of hands it might have had originally. I'm tempted to give the dial a quick bath to see if some of the finger prints come off: any advice?
