    Hi all,

wanted to share recent discovery I am about to buy (seller's pictures).

It is a not often seen Omega 2988 Constellation Calendar Grand Luxe from 1958. The crown is obviously wrong, the lugs look somewhat polished. I don't have a movement pic, but it is a correct cal 504 with a correct 1958 serial number.

The rest looks o.k. to me, what are your opinions?

    Thanks

    Peter

It’s been well polished as you say, bezel & lugs have lost their edges.
No minute marker around the edge but maybe normal for this reference.
    Hands look short.
What’s going on with the case back, looks like machining marks, has an inscription been removed?

Just a few of my observations, possibly all wrong. You don’t see these often so nothing to compare.

I’d wait for a better example - those soft lugs would bother me
