I'm almost considering this ebay purchase but am perplexed as to the unstamped case back.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271425862214?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

It's a 490 movement with a "SWISS" dial which coincides with the OXG stamped on the movement making it an American import.
Could this possibly be a NOS replaced case back?
Any comments on the dial would be appreciated too.

Yes, it could be a replacement caseback or possibly one that fit a lot of cases. Not the first time I've seen one missing a case reference stamp.

Dial looks to be in excellent condition, as does the movement.

    Take care,
