I’m interested in this Ultra-Chron. The dial looks surprisingly clean, but I’ve compared it with online photos of others and to my eye it looks original and untouched. Do you see anything to be concerned about - on the dial or elsewhere? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1654705397...0ucjturqrs&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPYPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Sorry! I forgot the advice that links expire and photos don’t. I asked for photos of the movement, but the seller says he doesn’t have tools to remove the case back
There are a number of Ultra-Chron motifs here but you'll need to do some Googling to find this combination. I wouldn’t buy a watch like this without movement photos anyway. I think you did well to bring it to the forum first. (And if an expert calls in to say it's real - well, then we all win!)
I own only one Ultra Chron but regularly look at what’s going. I’ve not previously seen a two-tone blue cross-hair dial and I am suspicious. The seller doesn’t go into detail about the dial but when compared with the condition of the hands and case, the face looks newer. I’ll defer to others but I strongly suspect a fantasy redial. So far as price is concerned, at USD 900, it’s a little more than many of these are worth, not enough if it’s genuine and I’m always suspicious about 'no returns'. I’d look elsewhere.
I have seen this dial style before and believe it to be legitimate. Highly unlikely you will see a movement picture, as this is a front loading case and requires special tools to remove the crystal and bezel. Price is way too high for what it is, even though the dial is cool. I think that seller is way overvaluing the box, as I do not think it is correct for this watch. Should be an Ultra Chron box. gatorcpa
The fonts on the dial look suspicious to me. The Ultra-Chron logo is printed. If you look at similar watches, it always comes as kind of a badge.
