Rooster Rock in Oregon doesn't look much like a rooster, but it does look a bit like something that is a synonym for a rooster. The pioneers called it by another name.

Puts me in mind of Cripple Cock scrumpy cider.... I don’t drink cider really but did try a few in the bucket of blood pub in Cornwall many years ago..... let’s just say you can’t stand up after a few of these ;0)
Cock a doodle do!
My dame has lost her shoe,
My master's lost his fiddlestick,
And knows not what to do......

A fυcking town in Austria which was eventually renamed to Fugging in 2020.
I guess they had to deal a lot with stolen signs..

Did you mean Austria or Australia ... only I often hear people say F--ing Australians but never F---ing Austrians ...so I assumed that must mean they were originally from that town.... :0)

For those who don’t know German, a ‘Dorf’ translates to ‘Village’. Near to the capital of Switzerland, Bern.

I wonder what ones calls the villagers of this village …

A friend (now deceased), in 2008, was on a tour of his home country, Denmark. This was a tour of antique and vintage automobiles, many from Scandinavia, but also a large contingent of cars from the British Isles which travelled by ferry, from Harwich, England, to Esjberg, Norway, where the tour began. The tour was to travel from Esjberg, to BACK, Norway, the tour continuing on to the final destination of HELL, Norway, which is near Trondheim. Each car had a bumper sticker stating RALLY TO HELL & BACK! I have located Hell on the map of Norway, but I have not located a centre called Back. The rally was more extensive than just the hop from Back to Hell, travelling a total of about 1,000 miles through Norway and Sweden.
Back is probably spelt Bakk. I used to live in Trondheim and went to Hell once or twice.

That was some much needed silly fun.... so I have just made a small donation to thank Mr Talyor and to help him on his way. If anyone would like to do the same or follow his journey while supporting Cancer research the details are... (he should make if a world wide tour next from this thead :0)..

Paul Taylor is fundraising for The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) (justgiving.com)

All proceeds go to The Institute of Cancer Research, who together with their hospital partner The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust are rated as one of the most important cancer research and treatment centres in the world. (I can say the Royal Marsden is the best of the best).

Back to the silly stuff ... what should he take for a camp lunch to enjoy when he has got his tent is up... I vote the British staple ...cheese and cucumber sandwiches .....

Lanchashire Bobs Knobs organic cheese. ... and dont hold back on the cucumber missus ...served on nice baps of course :0)
