Not to blow my own trumpet too much, but it's alright. On average I get, somewhere between 40 and 60 watch collectors together for a night of horological show and tell, a few beers, and lots of friendly conversation. Tomorrow is the 27th Time 4A Pint meet, I've also started running quarterly Sunday brunch meetups, and thrown the odd extraordinary mini-meet when a traveller from distant lands is in town, and fancies a beer. You're right, it does cost money, but as @Peemacgee very rightly points out, so do venues, when you want an exclusive space, with it's own bar.
