·I’m keen to get back to a more “boots on the ground” approach to viewing/buying vintage watches, as one of our well known (former?) members often put it.
Do any of our UK members have any experience with the tradition antiques fairs? I’m thinking particularly those around me in Yorkshire, such as Doncaster Racecourse, Wetherby RC, York RC, Helmsley and obviously Newark.
My parents are retired antique jewellery dealers so I recall all these places as a kid and I recall a dealer having some Speedmasters at Newark years ago, but I’ve no idea whether there’s any vintage watch presence there now. If these places are a no go, are there any specific clock and watch fairs other than Brum?
