I saw the thread about the Tri-Compax. I had a question about a Uni-Compax I have come across (see attached picture). I have not been able to get a movement picture from the seller yet. My question is, however: Are the Uni-Compax's "collectible" even in the less-than-perfect condition that dial/hands are in?
I think any watch could be considered “collectible”. As long as it still ticks and you enjoy it, then I’d say it’s “collectible” P.s. We got a big game this year in Athens Still working on tickets *fingers crossed*
I have learned to dread "big games." "Big games" mean "big embarrassment, disappointment, and/or anger" for me. :sigh: I guess what I was wondering is the inherent value of these watches. This one is listed at $850. Service and a new band would obviously be added costs, too.
Not only service, as it seems it also needs some case work. The lower left lug looks like it is seriously damaged. However, the main question really is: Do you like the dial? If not, remember that such a watch is not an investment as it misses the three C...
Pass on on this. There are better examples out there. $850 is very low for these, but this is a very beat up watch.
We would need reference and serial number. Prob 35mm and re lumed. From 40’s ... overall not bad . Dial is a little rough.
