UG experts chime in, I value your opinions !
Wrong dial ? Right bezel ? Right dial ? Wrong
bezel ? No lume on the dial ? No lume on hands ? Wrong hands ?

there are projects and there are projects....this is the later :)

but I wouldn't do anything based on three out of focus images...you need better photos, especially the movement. Regardless there are so many red flags on this. Generally when you see this much wrong its a sign.

I've owned the watch for 15 years, paid 1500 for it ! What do you mean by a sign ? Show me your example ! These watches are pretty rare and in vogue right now, parts are impossible to find ! Id rather have this example than NONE at all !

So my observations (right or wrong):
Mid 60's Case (Fat Pushers) - 222100-2? (However case back stamp is mid 50's)
Did this dial ever get used with this case?
Hands SB Dauphine (but no lume hands and dial)
    Incorrect Hour Sub Dial Hand
    Needs a complete overhaul

Has the lume been washed off the dial? There are the circular dots there which I am assuming are meant for the lume.

didn't mean to get you in a tizzy...maybe you should have posted more info up front. I assumed this was yet another "I'm look at buying this what do you think posts" so don't ask for opinions if you cant handle what people say.

"a sign" as in a sign its been put together from various watches or very poorly serviced over the years. "A sign" that you should stay away if you were considering purchasing....thats all I meant.

it looked like you were asking for advice regarding purchasing

You may assume too much, how about some of the positive aspects of the watch ? Feedback can be positive and critical (negative).

Just indulge in him. It's refreshing to see someone so passionate about watches, regardless of their condition. He sees watches for their heyday, not what how disastrous they are now.

Look at the other watches he shared. It's his style. Don't cramp it.

Thanks for your comment, I've been looking and collecting vintage watches for over 40 years ! When I first started collecting you were lucky to ever see a single example of a UG Tricompax ! I grew up in Kansas City the area where President Truman was from, and the Truman Tricompax resides. The old watch codgers PRIZED any Tricompax ! I was about 12 years old at that time. I've been collecting UG ever since. The internet has changed the game a million percent, in mostly positive ways on vintage watch collecting in my opinion. Back in the day, you hardly ever saw mint vintage watches, because most people WORE their watches which aged them. All of these mint ones you see on the internet are FRANKEN watches from several watches or service dial replacements. Some mint UG's are 100 percent legit, VERY FEW.

So what's your plan for it? It's a put together package but you are in it for short money.

When you see vintage CARS, are they all in mint condition ? NO, but does that mean there are not a million vintage cars that are cool out there you would own in a second ?

That's what I would do as well. Your point about looking for perfection in UG these days is well put. They are what they are!

Maybe you should have asked me what I paid for it before you assume
Moisture, especially in humid climates, until seals and waterproof development , many UG's let moisture get inside through the crown, sides of pushers etc...The result of this was the trend to send them off for a redial . This was normal practice, and there was a varity of watch redial companies, and or the original manufacture. They intern, would refinish and or install what we term as a service dial. This is why we see so much of a disparity in the overall condition of vintage watches in general.
