I finally had my 18k rose gold tricompax repaired by Blake at ScotchWatch in AZ. I'd recommend him; he was relatively quick, and the watch is working great. Thanks to everyone in the forum who gave me advice on both the watch repair and the bracelet recommendations. I do really enjoy wearing the same watch as my great-grandfather and hope to be able to pass onto my son in the future.

As noted, the crown was missing and had to be sourced (non-original), but everything else was kept intact, including the dial.

I have a new peter watchacc band on order, but here are some pics of it.

That looks lovely. You won't go wrong with a peter watch acc strap either - I've had a couple from him and am very impressed with both.

always good to know of watchmakers who won't balk at a Tri-Compax.
