Were there original, UG, Tri-Compax dials that did not have:

    1. "Tri-Compax" printed on them
    2. Exclusively odd numbers in the date sub-dial
    3. "240" of the tachymeter scale properly aligned with "15" of the outer scale

I'm certainly not a UG expert, my only one is a standard Monodate, but the lettering looked off to me straightaway. On the other hand lot 96 another Tri-Compax looks a nice example, would I be right?

Edit. From later posts I am obviously wrong!

Really bad redial. Sothebys needs to relook their inventory.

I have come across one legitimate 60's Panda dial tri that did not have "Tri-Compax" written on the dial, but no for the other two.

It has all been said so re-affirming ...

Calendar is a give away. He must have thought 1,2 (s***, i cant get them all in and decided dropping even numbers). UG calendar also flips numbers on lower half. Tachy scale, as mentioned is also a little stupid. It is not properly aligned (would be acceptable for 40s) and more importantly is loopy.

Looks like the re-dialer must have been on a bender night before he did this one. All in all a great dial for the garbage tip !

Actually on this aspect, I think Christie is probably quite okay with Eric Wind really taking his time to check places like this forum.

These two from Phillips- hammered at 4,500 and 6000 chf respectively ::facepalm1::

    1) Obvious redial. Note the T Swiss T amongst other things. UG was so revolutionary! Using tritium 20 years before anyone else!

    2) Described as New Old Stock. Not as egregious, but still... quiz time: what's wrong with this one?
