    Hi all,
I have for a while aTri-Compax with a very aged and used dial.

    The watch is this

Fortunately after a long hunt I could find a NOS dial, almost equal to this, that I asked my watchmaker to assemble
    This is the dial

    And this the final result.
Hope you like it, as I am very happy with the final result

Now I will try to source a proper moonphase dik, as this as no face.

I believe this dial to be fully original, period correct with the watch, and not a later replacement, and to me I consider this replacement does not compromise the watch originality, but I would appreciate your feedback.

    Thanks.

    Feedback much appreciated

Looks fantastic. Personally, I wouldn't call the dial NOS because that means something different to me, but it's certainly in excellent condition and the total package is very, very appealing. Congrats on your successful search.

    I think you are right.
Dial is in Very Good Condition, but not NOS.
However, and that is strange to me, the back of dial as some "bubbles" and surface does not seem even, but my watchmaker told me that in is opinion this dial, never touched any other watch plate due to pins condition., which were untouched.
    Thanks

Technically speaking- it didn't leave the factory with that NOS dial but if you're asking me personally I say who gives a fakk?? Look at that dial!::love::::love::::love:: I'd rather have the clean/beautiful dial and I think it's more valuable with it, even if not 100% original from factory.

    Hi
Serial dates it between 1945-1946, Portuguese calendars, and also hallmarks

Then indeed the moon with face would be correct.
They occur from time to time. I remember one two month or so ago on ebay.

    Good luck with your hunt!

My word that is a beautiful looking UG. Your patience has paid off in spades, well done. Make sure you keep the old dial for originality and maintain any concern about value if you ever sell.

I dunno... The second dial doesn't say 'SEX' to me the way the first one does :D

just so we have this documented, my watchmaker believes the moon discs are interchangeable, but definitely NOT the day and month discs....

(and side note, I've also been told that moon discs are not interchangeable between the triple cal moonphase and the Tri Compax)
