Thanks Faz and Jonatan. I'm not sure I'll ever part with that one because I never seem to be able to get enough of it. The dial is just so amazing and the orange second hand just gets me. Thanks again for the kind words.

Just spotted this interesting specimen. The bifurcated hour hand is quite common on Accutron Railroad watches but I've never seen it on a UG RR. Universal_Geneve_RR_wristwatch_1205-0_dualtime.jpg

I've now collected info. on several Railrouter watches and attempted a chronology based on the numbering of the Cal. 1205 movements (I don't have sufficient Ser. Nos....perhaps others of you can help?).
    Unfortunately the results are confusing:
    #9101 Railrouter
    Chronometre
    #9255 RR 1205
    #9266 Railrouter
    1205
    ##9303 Railrouter
    Chronometre
    #9467 Railrouter
    Chronometre
I haven't included the Menta example posted by Jonatan

I suspect this may be a Franken, Although the dial is inscribed Railrouter 1205 the movement is a Cal.65 found in the later 1205-0 variety.. I'm also a bit suspicious of the case back..

This one seemed correct. Any thoughts from the community on whether or not this was a good grab?

Final price was reasonable and I would have been bidding if it had been a s/s case.
I was a bit puzzled by the case back.. It didn't have a serial no. but what I assume is a case ref. no.412501/1. Since this is a 6/7 digit no. it differs from the 5/6 digit nos. which appear on UG chronographs. But I have seen similar markings on other Railrouters (865100/02 and 885100).
One unusual feature was the movement no. 9101 also being inscribed on the case back, never seen that before.

Steady on guys. I wasn't suggesting anyone buy it, just posting another example of UG railroad watch.
But I do notice that the seller says it's Cal. 6325, that numbering is damn close to the other UG FS (Cal. 64) and the 1205-0 Railrouter (Cal. 65). Is there a relationship between Cal. nos? . .

I just wanted to post a quick follow-up after finding some additional information from a former CPR guy and Canadian Railway Historian...it appears that the Railroader 1205 (which has the 12) was approved for CPR (Canadian Pacific Railways) whereas the R.R. 1205-0 in its various forms was only approved for the CNR (Canadian National Railways). Another fun little nugget of history added to the mx.

Really not sure, I didn't come across one of these incabloc dial models in my research. Although the checkerboard Unitas above does have Incabloc shock protection, the fact that it's unsigned raises a lot of questions. We know that UG well into the seventies had excellent finishing and put their name prominently on the movement.
