    Depends on one's definition of "value". In other words, I would argue that real value would be found in less obvious watches with Hf cases, rather than a cheaper version of the same model with an inferior quality case.

    I would argue that prices aren't stratospheric for HF cased Polerouters, especially compared to what else you can buy for similar money.

    Really? To use just one example, early Certina DS are arguably better watches, and for a fraction of the price. Eterna Kontiki are another.

    Just so we are clear. That was my watch which I sold for 650$ about a month ago and I obviously don't think it is worth the 1300$ asking price.
