After some research i am still not able to evaluate if something is wrong...the crown for sure (not signed) but your help will be really appreciated.
A fair price also will help a lot. (the watch was serviced last week without polishing)
    thanks

The dial is not refinished and nothing looks off besides the replacement crown, but a movement shot and higher quality pictures are necessary for a more accurate assessment. Since I'm not a professional dealer I won't make any conjectures on price, but I've seen this watch in all original, excellent condition priced around 2000 and a mint pink gold version around 3000. I would say your watch is in 'fair' condition.

    thanks so much!
Do you think it is better to let it unpolish or polishing those cases are much more appreciated? For gold case i like when it is polished but i don't want to make a mistake.

Don't polish the case. It's too easy to have it done wrong, and a case with soft edges will definitely negatively impact the value. If you are going to sell it, let the seller decide what to do.

Thanks LouS. I will jump on it but for me, not to sell it. The only think is that i am not familiar with small diameter solid gold dress watch. I never tried one before so i just hope this will fit my wrist!
The price asked seems to be fair so i will try and i will see !!

    Thanks again for your help!

be advised, these gold Polerouters are a little smaller than the steel and gold plated ones - just subtle differences in the case

Watch seems to be in fairly good condition. Enjoy wearing it and don't forget to post more photos when you received it!

How much smaller Lou? One or two mm or are we talking more?

No more than that. It's subtle. When I got my first 18K one, it just looked not quite right to me and I couldn't figure out why until I put it next to a steel one. I assume it is a different casemaker.

Gold cases are 34mm and SS cases are 35. Another example of UG design department shenanigans :taunt:

Every shaved mm means a lower cost gold case.

Gold was expensive back then, too.

Do you know of other examples where the gold versions are slightly smaller? I'm not questioning your logic, but I've always assumed that they were usually identical in size
