Just back from service two weeks ago is this lovely steel UG Tri Compax 881101/01 with its matching UG bracelet. The case looks to me to be in unpolished condition and is very nice sharp on the lugs. On the back case the the reference and serial numbers are clearly visible 2437810 and 881101/01 The calibre 281 has just been serviced and is running extremely well with all functions operating perfectly The DON bezel has some wear and a nibble, it has also faded slightly which can be seen in different light. The moonphase disk and English date wheels are all vibrant and sharp The original UG bracelet dated 4 66 is also signed GF. The bracelet and endlinks are in excellent shape. The bracelet has been polished at some point but very, very lightly and still has sharply defined edges. Also coming with a lovely new Di-Modell Rally in black nubuck And of course with a signed crystal €13750 Bank Transfer or Pay Pal for very established forum members ( costs for the buyer ) Shipping to be discussed with the buyer. Any questions, just ask
Such a beauty. I'd also love to own one like this one day, or even just close to this... guess I better get selling!
But I think I'd have to sell nearly ALL of my watches before I could buy this one... ... but I DO have a Marvin I'd sell for 13K!!!
Thanks for the nice comments guys I´ve had a couple of questions regarding the size of the watch and bracelet. The watch is 36.7mm in diameter across the bezel and wears very much like the early Daytonas. The bracelet is approx 160mm give or take a few mm including the endlinks.
Really nice watch and rare bracelet but did you do any market research before arriving at this price? T.
I´m no UG expert but I do speak to other collectors both on and off the forum as well as doing my own reading. I never have my prices set in stone anyway as I hope many people here can attest to, so it´s all subjective really. Maybe if you knew my discount rate you´d be sending me a PM offering to buy it instead of having me explain myself here on the open forum
Perhaps @tomvox1 is suggesting you should sell it for more? The guys over at Mental watches sold one in the high teens after all. Anyways, beautiful watch and Glwts!
Hey, more power to you and congrats to the buyer of this very nice Tri-Compax. It is a bit disheartening, though, to see the Hodinkee-fication of our hobby put watches like this completely out of reach of the regular joe collector. C'est la vie & get it while you can, I suppose, so well done. T.
Here is a new shot of this gorgeous watch : No, this is not only a reflection, now I have to source a replacement bezel. Any hints are welcome. Cheers, Mick
My apologies. I really had no idea these had gone so bonkers so quickly. Congrats to the new owner... and other current owners, too! Best, T.
