I'm less than 3 hours from San Antonio. I could have brought it to you much more quickly and with less stumbling around all over the place ...

    ... for a price.

This is why I hate tracking my packages! I get so confused at the nonsense. If I want to mail a letter to my next door neighbor it actually goes to the city 100 miles to our east for processing and then to my neighbors. ::screwloose::

If you use FedEx and send a package to your next-door neighbor, it goes to Memphis first, then comes back. All in the span of 24 hours or less.

That's the way it goes in the express mail business.

Poor Eric, he's been following up on these to see where the hell they went.

Mine was posted a couple of hours earlier and got here yesterday.

But sometimes they just seem to go into limbo. This PRIORITY PACKAGE took FIVE WEEKS

He thinks yours and mine would arrive about the same time @JimInOz , told him wait another 8-9 days for mine to get here.

Why the hell do people use USPS or any postal service for watches? Seems like asking for the transaction to end badly.

I've had no worse service and results, and much, much lower customs fees (as in "none" and I'm talking about properly declared and valued pieces) from USPS than from courier services.

Sending an old pair of hiking boots to cobbler in Seattle, x mass presents to nieces and nephews. Care package to kid in college... I can see. I cannot fathom trusting a valuable item like a watch to the post office....guess I stand corrected. Personally I like control.

Serious question: What is the difference? I've never sent a watch. Assuming you can insure for the proper value...?

For me ... Fedex gives you more control, safety and service period. One of the most clear examples is that they got my work laptop out of Nice France Airport after I left it in security a couple of years ago. My company could not make that happen. If they can pull that off, they can ship watches safely. I'm not so trusting of the post office especially on overseas shipments. I've not shipped but I've imported enough watches with Fed Ex now to respect their service level and transparency.

Could be worse. I hear Speedmasters have to go to the Moon and back.

Never had a issue with USPS with anything sent to AUS.

No FedEx in my state and gets handed over to several carriers that don't track and FedEx hands priority over as snail mail as it won't pay the priority of the other companies it uses.

Shouldn't be too long now Andy. You probably won't have to sign for it either.
