UG Compur 30 Ref. 22409 Spillman Dial Check

Hi Experts,

What do you all think of this dial? My own hunch is that the print is legit but it's been re-lumed. Any other red flags?

Looks legit. As for relume would have to hold in hand with loupe but it looks like done with a practiced hand. Would also look for a cal 385.

A Compur 30 dial in an 1.009 case? About 200k too late IMHO

it's reprinted, the swiss watch dealer (l'orologiese) wrote it in his website

best reprint I've ever seen

Can you link to where you find that information? I see The dial has been professionally restored based on the original layout. on their website, which could mean many things. I agree if it's a reprint it's undistinguishable from original.

in the italian page it's clearly written:

Il quadrante è stato ristampato sulla base della grafica originale. Si tratta di un quadrante nero lucido con numeri arabi luminescenti a stampa mista galvanica e in rilievo, con le lancette alpha originali. Il quadrante è in ottime condizioni, mostra solo una leggera ed omogenea patina.

literally:

The dial has been refinished based on the original design. It is a glossy black dial with luminous Arabic numerals in a combination of galvanic printing and raised printing, with the original alpha hands. The dial is in excellent condition and shows only a slight, even patina.

Nice, very clean, but not an original dial. However, whenever description uses the word "style", beware ....

A simple test would prove that the lume is not radium which would have been the run of the mill lume in the late 30s and early 40s. Case serial number dates case much later than dial (as mentioned).
