Serial dates it to 1959 I presume
Can someone confirm if at this time these models have the crystal with the etched "U"?

But do you know if there is Compax with Martel movements with the crystal signed,or only Valjoux movements?

 

There are Polarouters dating to 1954/55 with signed crystals. I don't think we can necessarily say however that all models after this date had marked crystals.

Perhaps the chronos didn't have signed crystals until later?

 

That is an absolutely beautiful watch. I doubt I’ve ever seen such a clean dial in these compaxes before. Well done!

 

Congrats on this. It’s a really great reference. Those comes IMHO with no signed crystal, signed crystal comes with the new sweep hand a little later from 60’. For the polerouter it’s earlier ...

Anyway really great looking watch. Love the very small lume dot!
