Fyi, here's a new one from Fratello on the Jet. Have not read yet, passing along in the meantime for your interest: http://www.fratellowatches.com/tbt-universal-geneve-polerouter-jet/
http://www.universal.ch/medias/mouvements/Universal_WEB.pdf A brief but interesting piece by UG called "Microtor Technology by Universal Geneve"
A charming little advert. P.s. I wonder whether they would still honour the offer made in the "N.B" section.
Sure: it says that, a repair guide and technical instructions are available upon request: just get in touch with your wholesaler or with UG and they'll send it to you. The flyer is aimed at retailers (it also points out that displays are available for Polerouter and Polerouter electric models), but fun to imagine that a regular joe could also take advantage of the offer!
It may just be worth sending a request off to UG. I assume that you own a UG Polerouter. The worst they can say is, no... If you get it right I'll send a request thereafter
I suspect the invitation expired about 50 years or so ago, but as you say, what's the worst that can happen? P.s. Do you have a Polerouter Electric?
The King of the Jets... ...welcomes a new member to the club from Fratello! Time to join Sir Paul in singing the anthem of the Polerouter Jet Club: Welcome one and all! gatorcpa
After only a few days on the wrist, I am pleasantly surprised at how smitten I am with it. https://omegaforums.net/threads/wruw-today.567/page-2073#post-431133
Thanks! It is from 1957, as per e-mail from Universal. They said mine has the earlier cal. 215. The Fratello example is a little newer, maybe 1960 or so. gatorcpa
Very nice. I've found one indicator helps put things in the general ballpark: The initial 215's had no regulator pointer (and had a patent pending message beneath the rotor). Subsequently, the regulator pointer was short and pointy to about 1958, and was replaced with a long pointer thereafter.
