    Hello everyone,
I recently purchased the item pictured. No dial photo as it is a repainted one and not of much value information wise. My question is does anyone know anything concerning the two tone cases I’ve seen on a few Omega Seamasters? It’s hard to capture in the photos but the Bezel and lugs are “gold.” The main body of the case and back are SS. Thank you.

Two-tone cases are commonly referred to a gold capped and have a heavy layer of solid gold, in the case of Omegas typically 200-240 microns, fused to a stainless steel base. A typical gold plated case is usually between 10 and 80 microns. The bezels are often but not always solid gold. Some cases are completely clad or as is the case with yours just the lugs.

Ah, thats good to know! Always knew that gold capped is better than gold plated, but this helps to define it. Thank you!
