As I sublime further into the secret world of Obsessive and Secretive Speedmaster Illuminati Collectors, I finally got my hands on these, which frankly cost more than I care to share, in terms of time, travel and money.

Two of the rarest dials seen on 1960's speedmasters, some of which many have never seen before. The grey soleil is not a blue soleil, and it is a soleil not matte grey like the others I have seen. Extraordinary.

These two account for why I have sold a few watches recently, and why I shall be selling one or two more.

Left... beautiful. The dial almost looks like it has a silver sheen to it. Bezel is nearly pristine!

Man those dark sunbursts are sublime. If I may ask is that the one you just got? Or did you get a blue on also?

Ahh your the one that got that blue handed subdial one. Is there a consensus on originality on that one? It's looks so perfect on it.

Whew. Tremendous. And grail gets thrown around quite often, but these two certainly fit the bill.

Lovely! Is there a reason (or theory) for the blue subdial hand on the Racing?

Jesus! Both are exceptional pieces, and I'm in love with both! Not sure which way I would go if given the dream option of taking one or the other??? However, I've long loved the first execution Speedy racing dial  Well done my friend! ;)
