Two opposing forces; which will prevail?

Most collectors (reasonably, in my view) turn their noses up at watches in gold filled cases. But in this case (pun intended), we have a rather highly sought-after and attractive Longines movement. I'm wondering which force will prevail? To what extent will the price be held down by the case material? Of course there are other condition issues, but it is still an interesting question.

Gold filled cases are the least preferred of all types, but I make exceptions for pristine specimens - especially if the dial is superb. Those single button 13ZN chronographs aren't all that common in any case metal. Any in-house Longines chronograph is going to fetch a few dollars regardless of condition. I'm curious about the final price of that listing too.

Dial is decidedly not superb. :(

Though I'm a fan of the 12.68z stop second chronos- I have an early steel 33mm example that is soon to see the light of day after a year + on the workbench- another drawback is their size; this one, at 31mm, won't meet the standards of many.

I think I would politely decline this one if somebody offered to give it to me.

The movement alone is worth a few hundred. I'd happily take the watch for free and have it redone as well as could be.
