Just bought my first Breitling, it's a 60s Twin Time 2002.3 reverse panda and I'm delighted with it. It needs a good service and I just hope all's well inside, we'll see. If the outside is anything to go by it should be fine. To the point - I've always liked to find period correct strap buckles for my older watches but I'm struggling a bit with this one. I've seen many referring to the twin planes buckles that you sometimes find on ebay but others seem to be of the opinion that these weren't used on watches of the period and that they're all fakes. Can anyone clarify this? Here's a good looking example of the type I'm referring to:
Yep, I've seen that one, but is it original? Looks very shiny to me. The real question though is whether these buckles were ever issued by Breitling at all, as henrikaa says, rumour has it that the original buckles issued with the watches had no logo. I was hoping that someone may have an answer for me.
