TV dial Longines Ultronic Chrono, anywhere to get a new glass in UK

Hi all,

Recently purchased a fairly beaten up Longines Ultronic Chronograph with TV dial with plans to get it restored. I've wanted one of these for so long and have missed any opportunities whenever a decent one has come up for sale so decided this particular one was close enough.

Plan was to get the case and bracelet refurbished through SwissTec and also a new glass fitted as I know they have the capabilities to cut their own. To my suprise today though I have learned they cannot help me with either of the above on this particular watch so are returning it not done.

The lack of refurb I can live with even if it is a bit of a disappointment, but the glass is pretty bad. Wondered if anyone here knows where I might be able to source one of these(or anywhere reputable that can cut and fit one) within the UK?

Thanks in advance, I'll remain hopeful.

You could give Simon Freese a call??? He's the top man!

He is a very nice, helpful bloke and just up the road from Swiss Time Services in Essex. If he is not able to help you himself, he is very much 'in the know' and may be able to point you in the right direction.馃榾

TBH I only had the watch in my hands for about 20 mins before sending it off to STS and I haven't received it back yet. I did take a quick wrist photo though...

Will see about calling Simon Freese when it comes back. Watch is running fine and will probably send it down to electricwatches once he's accepting work again, but not even sure he will be able to replace the crystal so wouldn't mind getting that done in the meantime if I can find somewhere.

I am late to this post since I am new to this forum. My watchmaker in thailand only charges $150 to service these. I got a round dial ultronic and then I just picked up a tv dial ultronic. These are incredibly complex movements and very rare. The price point of the longines and certina are much better than the omega and baum & mercier models with the ESA 9210 movements.

A bump for this thread as the search continues, I've tried both Swisstec and Simon Freese but neither could help with the crystal replacement or refurb.

I've just sent the watch to electricwatches for a service to the movement but the hunt for a replacement crystal contunues. Does anybody know if anywhere within the UK that could cut a replacement crystal for this watch, or an overseas supplier ideally that wouldn't require me sending the watch overseas?

Also anyone that could refurb the case bracelet(I've already tried watchworks in Bristol but they don't work on these) .

Such a shame they're no longer available. I really do love this little watch and would love to get it back to great condition.

My watchmaker had a custom crystal made for my tv case longines. He may still have its dimensions and can order one for you. PM me if you want his information.
