Should not be, but i dont know what happened in the life of the 40 year old watch, what make you think it is? they glow fast and fade away quick
I would suggest … they are a historic replacement …probably the same time, as the bezel Lume does not ‘shade’ match…and they should not glow at all …after 40 years
I have literally just tested, a 1991 Tudor Submariner 79090… and a ‘91 Rolex 16710 GMT Neither watch glows at all
I have a Speedmaster from 1971 that glows very little and then fade away... But i hear what you say, maybe another expert can comment?
Agree the hands are a slight shade out but the tritium could still have a very slight glow before it fades away my Silverstone from 74 does
