Does anyone here own a Ranger? In my quest to find a no date, Arabic numeral watch I have run across the Ranger.

How do owners feel about the quality?

Size is 41mm, which is bigger than I am looking for. How is its wrist presence? How about thickness?

    Would you buy again?

Seems the Ranger does not get a lot of discussion or love, is there a reason?

    Best,

I've really taken a liking to the new Ranger. I don't have one(yet), but I think it is a fairly veratile no fuss watch at a very affordable secondary market price. 41mm is a bit larger than I'd prefer but from my experiences in stores it sits comfortably on my 6.25" wrist. The slightly domed crystal makes it visually intruiging and the curved lugs hug the wrist. With the right strap it could certainly be dressed up as well, however I am a big fan of the straight endlink version. I hope to pick one up preowned in the next year or so.

Also why are there no pics?[IMG]

Iove mine. Well made case and furniture, and a pretty common, easy to service movement. What's not to like?

I have not seen one in the flesh yet, but the biggest thing concerning me is the size. I like 35-39mm watches. I have a 39mm railmaster that I love but pushes it for me on size. I really want an everyday watch like this but I am in the minority when it comes to style :)

here is how the RM looks on me

It does wear a bit big IMHO. Feels bigger than a speedy even though it's actually a bit smaller

Weird comparison, but I feels the same size as my seiko PADI Turtle. The turtle is 45mm but it's a cushion case so it wears smaller. Definitely try one on. I didn't even consider it until I saw it in person and quickly came obsessed.

the ranger gets it's share of wrist time: I'm a fan of the simple 3-6-9 dial layout: this week was back to the bracelet.

Found one locally used. Going to go see it tomorrow, it's on a bund which I don't like. Asking price seems a little high as well but I have to like the watch first.

Bund is one of the original options.

    Keep us posted!

Met with the seller today. Great guy who lives near me, totally into watches. It was a pretty enjoyable meeting.
I am still thinking about the watch, it's on a bund and I am not sure I like that look yet. Understandably he does not want to separate the band from the watch head. It also had a bracelet and the camo nato. He wants 2100 USD, so I told him I would think about it.

I was just about to say that. I've seen them up for sale head only/nato only for ~1500, on a bracelet for about 1800. For all the goods and in seemingly good condition... warranty still in effect would be a deal maker for me.

Never noticed the striking similarity until I picked up my 7150.

That's what led me to one. That, and all the fake vintage ones.

I am so waffling on this. Now I am thinking I should just get a SM300 MC. I don't have any diver types in my collection and it would be a good add.
