Hello!

A friend of mine owns a Tudor Prince Date Day Ref. 94613 circa 1960.
I want to buy it but None of us know the fair value of the watch. Can any of you evaluate it by checking the attached photos or it is prohibited to evaluate? I can’t find this rule if it exists or not in OF.
I don’t want to pay more or less than it’s value, neither my friend.
Watch was never polished but only serviced as he claims and as far as he can recall cause the watch was his father. Bracelet was two tone.

I appreciate your help in advance!

I suggest you check past sales on eBay to give you a feel for how much it's worth.

Are you sure it's as early as 1960? I have this model in a different variation and it's from the 1990s. In a deal between friends I'd say around $800-$1000. You might want to check the amplitude on a timegraher to see if it needs a service.

Thanks for your quick answer! He said its from 1960.. I dont know if its correct.
I dont want to buy it in an discount cause he is a friend of mine, just the price it worths if he sell it to any person.

I dont trust ebay!
I have already search there the completed auctions and the price range is insane (1200€ up to 3000€ but with a mint two tone bracelet and not like which its like one tone and not two tone anymore!)
That's why i asked here the fair value i have to pay..
Case diameter is 36mm

Any suggestions welcomed!

Bytheway, do you know if the estimation of price tool that chrono24 uses is reliable?

The price will vary a lot as it very much depends on condition and whether the movement needs a service.

I have a mint 94613 with a gold linen dial and the original 2-tone bracelet and I'd say it's market value is around $2k.

I still think you can get a good feeling for the watch's value by looking at past sales prices achieved on eBay. Chrono24 is generally very overpriced in my opinion.

To date the watch you need to locate the serial number between the lugs so the bracelet needs to be removed.

Ι know that from Rolex.(how to find serial number)
Problem with ebay is that current sold pieces have a mint 2 tone bracelet and not like this one (used to be gold plated). Is this a really big problem? How much we should lower the price?
Watch is running very well and was serviced 2 years ago.

The wear on the bracelet plating obviously lowers its value.
Try taking it to some local watch dealers to see how much they are prepared to offer.

If it's running well and was really serviced two years ago then I'd say €1000 to €1200. Personally, I would rather spend more and get a mint example of a date day.
