Hi,
Can any of the members give me there thoughts as to if the watch is authentic or a copy?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Hi, it's a beautiful looking watch.But very hard to tell from just one picture, you really need to look at the entire watch, including the movement as well as the serial numbers Et cetera, which means that you have to do your research to find the providence of the watch...also the famous saying, "buy the seller", and do you trust the seller. Very important to research the seller as much as you d o the watch; there are many frankensteins out there, especially in the vintage world. I only buy a watch if there is a guaranteed return of at least 2 weeks and this gives you time to take the watch to your watchmaker so it can be authenticated good luck!

I ended up taking it to my retired watchmaker and he checked out the serial number and model number between the lugs. Took the caseback off and checked the inside caseback and movement.
All checked out perfectly so I bought it.
