Hi everyone, I have seen this transitional(?) 7016 for sale, and was wondering what variation of insert it carries? (ie vintage vs service) as in the current vintage climate, this can affect value significantly. I tried to use a few online resources to identify it, however I had not luck. Would you class it as a 'fat font' and if so what variation? I may make an offer to the vendor, but would need to sell something to fund the deal - however the case is apparently unpolished, but worn with bevels present, and I love the patina of the dial and weird layout. Cheers, Ed
Ed, what are they asking for it? I can find out, as I have several Tudor Collector Pals w/mad experience. Any other photos? You can PM me re: the price if u want me to ask them, but your call? This looks like a service dial to me but, depending on when it was made, it will make a difference if it's a fat font (70s) or later (not fat font). You can get the missing tritium pearl pretty easily, and I have a killer way to attach it I'm happy to share with you. That said, they typically match the comparable Rolex watch for that time period, but best to run past my Tudor pals. Best, William (US)
To hijack my own thread, what are peoples thoughts on this piece in general, condition etc..? @Linesiders - what are you thoughts on it mate?
