    hi

The black bay 58 appear to be by waiting list in london so i tried the 41mm, which seemed to sit well on my small wrists

Which one do people prefer? Why is the 58 black dial so hard to get?

Also if any suggestions of where to buy from london let me know

    Thanks

for me its not just 38/39mm vs 41. . the thickness on the 41mm made it a nonstarter

there are lots of bb58s around at a small premium to retail, just look on ebay or chrono24

For me the ETA BB is in the middle in a way. Not so tall. More balanced. The in house BB was just too tall for me. The ETA also has a flat case back which made a big difference in the way it wears.

I had a BB41 with the ETA movement on a 6.6” wrist. I’d stick with the 58. It just fits better all around

Having tried the 58 (I have about 7" wrist) it is absolutely delightful. I dont own one but almost did.

The proportion and the vintage look it gives off are great.

There's a reason why their's a waiting list for the BB58, it's the better, more desirable watch. Have patience and get on a waiting list.

The 41’s i have always found top heavy and sold. I’ve had a gmt, harrods and a black and all three had to go. The 58 is great. Nothing wrong with the others if you like the size and weight however.

Here is a nice review of the BB 58 that details the differences between the 58 and the 41. The reviewer concludes the BB 58 is the better choice, I agree.

if equally available i could honestly see this watch outselling the 41mm by at the very least a 2-1 margin
