Hello all

I am hot and bothered for the new Tudor BB GMT but no one local has one. The Tourneau by me says they are special order only and the 2 Tudor ADs have no idea when they are getting them in.

I really would not like to buy online without trying it on so I was hoping another model BB would approximate it. Am I right? Would a Black Bay xxxx (noir, steel, chrono etc) give me a good idea of the size and wearablilty?. I understand that the ETA versions are smaller so any newer model with the in-house movement should work right>

 

Yes, I believe the Black Bay GMT actually uses an identical case to the in-house BB so any of the current production Black Bays should work as a comparison. Both measure 41mm x 14.6mm.

 

I managed to try on a BB GMT on Monday and yes the case is exactly the same as the models you mentioned.

 

Yep, exactly the same and wears very well.

 

The pepsi looks like a coke in this shot - just lighting I assume?

Yes, it’s quite a dull matte blue. Goes very well with the burgundy. In many lights it does look like a coke. In direct sunlight it looks more blue.

It’s very nicely done.

 

I was told by Ben Bridges in Houston, that the only way to try it was to pre order it !!! Ie buy it first

 

It does wear almost exactly like the in house BB. I fell in love when I tried this on. I can’t wait to get one.

 

It switches between Pepsi and coke based on lighting. One of the reasons I really like this watch.

 

The case of the GMT wears very similar to the in house BB but it definitely isn't the same - it tapers more on the lugs.
However, if you try on an I house BB it give you the general idea.
