Hello,

I'm trying to identify this Omega vintage watch. Is there a way to determine the value as well? It's in good working condition.

Quite an old wristwatch from 1930-ish. Looks legit to me, the case is silver obviously. In this case, I think it was likely originally a wristwatch, but sometimes these pieces were PW conversions.

It probably doesn't have any particular name or even reference. The movement may be some cal 26.5 variant, but that's just a guess off the top of my head, I'd need to research it.

The bracelet is a Bonklip or at least in that style.

It's an interesting thing, and you should enjoy it if it's an heirloom. These pieces are collectible but not terribly valuable TBH, unless there is some important documented provenance.

Be careful not to drop it while putting it on your wrist, the movement isn't shock protected and a shock can result in an expensive repair.

Thank you for the very prompt reply.

It's definitely an interesting piece. I've been thinking about buying a new leather band for it. For now though, it's staying in a box.

Some people also wear these on bund straps to give them more presence. What is the distance between the lugs, i.e. what width strap would you need to use in mm?

BTW, you will sometimes see this style of watch called a trench watch, because they were first popularized during WWI by soldiers. Prior to that, men didn't wear wristwatches.

This person makes very authentic style straps if he's still doing business.

It is a cal 23.7
Yes! Thank you. In the back of my mind I was doubting the 26.5 but couldn't recall the 23.7.
