My father gave me a lot of parts in his will, from his decades as a watch maker. I have one part that I just can't figure out. It's a crown. It's gold, but I don't know what kind. I can't find anything online that even has the CA identifier in it's part number. I've found BA, but not CA. Anyone have any idea what the CA would stand for or what watch this is for?
I do have other Omega parts. Not 100% sure what's vintage or not tho. So far I've been sticking with getting rid of the more modern ( easier to research) parts.
reckon you could take a pile of photos of the older looking stuff? We've got a few guys that could recognise a lot of bits
James, you just got a bunch of new best friends. The serration and shape leads me to believe it's a more modern variety.
CA - Cap light yellow gold 18 Karat - 2N, 80 micron BA - Light yellow gold 18 Karat - 2N Note that the crown you have is now discontinued. Hope this helps. Cheers, Al
thanks for the help! Now I know, it's not the expensive ones. Do you happen to know what watch it's for? Is it the 120?
Got another question for you Archer, if you can. I have 2 links. Stainless steel and 18K Seamaster links one 20mm and one 14mm. They are out of the package, so I don't have any numbers for it. I know it's 114DA but that's as far as I've gotten. I still haven't been able to master the part numbers.
114DA is the start of about 50 different part numbers, so you would have to narrow it down for me to help you...
Options for the last 4 digits are 1500, 1501, 1502, 1503, 1504. I have no detail to tell me what yours is, so that's it mate. Cheers, Al
Sorry mate - for me to list every watch this could be used on I would have to look up each of the 5 options above, and look at the 30 or so watches each one brings up as a result, then eliminate duplicates - you aren't paying me enough to do all that I'm afraid. I just don't have time for it.
