Would you guys say that this watch is "tropical" and having an enhanced value vs. a non-tropical piece (bracelet, links, etc. are correct)? And what might that value be in today's market? [I saw some thoughts as to values generally in another thread.] Answers via PM are fine. Thanks for all the guidance.

    HAGWE all.

I'd want to see it in sunlight. It's easy to make dial look brown in pics..

Tropical normally means it's aged brown. Being aged brown does not mean it's worth more money. The ageing has to be pleasing to the eye. So as already said we would need higher resolution pictures of the face in bright light,as dial damage other then ageing is a factor. While that case has been overly polished the value on that watch with that bracelet is quite high. As that is a very early watch.

For an alpha hands, early Speedy I think quality pieces are expected to have pleasing patina on the dial, hands, bezel, etc. So a little bit of browning to the dial is assumed and doesn't add too much additional premium, just contributes to being a quality piece.

Now if the watch has a milk chocolate dial then that's a different story.

    More pix please!!
