First and foremost, thanks to the mods for an old dispensation from the 200 post rule, and thanks to OF for the space.

Up for sale is another one of my beloved Polerouters. This one is a reference 869111/01 with date and an awesome tropical dial. I remain in the midst of a serious consolidation, and still have several other Polerouters, so unfortunately this one needs to find a new home. My loss is your gain.

On to the details...

Dial: Original gloss dial with some spiderwebbing that has an awesome gradient/abstract tropicality to it. I cannot describe it well, but hopefully the photos will do it justice. All lume plots intact and hold up under UV. Some have darkened more than others. Gilt printing is crisp. The only blemish is a small speck of what may be old lume at around the 4 minute mark - any other marks that show up in the photos are either glare, or marks on the crystal.

Hands
: Original, with oxidization and retaining full lume, which holds up under UV.

Case
: This is the larger of the Huguenin Freres Polerouter Date cases, measuring in at ~35mm excluding crown, and 19mm lug width. Very sharp and potentially unpolished IMHO, with commensurate nicks and scratches. Caseback logo is worn but clearly visible, and the engraved model and serial numbers are crisp. There are, however, some prominent gouges and scratches on the caseback that appear to be the result of someone attempting to open it with the wrong tool. The crown is unsigned and potentially a replacement, though I have heard unconfirmed stories that some 869111s were delivered with unsigned crowns. Note: I have blurred the serial number on the caseback in the photos for privacy.

Crystal
: Original with the trapezoidal date cyclops and signed with the UG shield logo above the center post. In excellent condition.

Movement
: Powered by the "famous" microtor movement, in this case a Cal. 69. The watch was serviced ~9 months ago and is still under my watchmaker's warranty for a few months. It is running and keeping time presently.

Bracelet
: This watch will be shipped on a generic leather strap, or can be shipped head only at the buyer's request.

On to pricing...

I am asking $3,600 for this watch and am open to offers. The price includes fully insured shipping within CONUS (strongly preferred). Local pick-up is also welcome in the NYC area. I may ship internationally on a case by case basis, fully insured only and at the buyer's cost. Acceptable payment methods are Paypal (+3% if you prefer not to use Friends & Family), bank wire, or for local pick-up only, cash. I can provide references relating to purchases from and sales to fellow OF members on request, you should be able to do the same.

Now on to the best part - the photos! I will post some additional shots (movement, crystal signature, etc.) later on, just want to get this moving. Thanks for looking!
