Just saw this bezel, how often do they come around? https://www.ebay.nl/itm/1969-Tropic...N90/382567094125?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I would suggest searching SOLD eBay listings and forum sales for up-to-date prices. That way you can directly and visually correlate price with condition.
As with any model of bezel, it's highly dependent on two factors, the first being condition. Even a very good one with one small mark will be worth far less than a perfect one. The second, is how much the buyer needs one - if a buyer has an absolutely perfect Straight Writing or -71 that just needs a bezel, he's more likely to bid up the few that come to market than someone who's just looking to grab a spare. That said, top-condition DNNs have traded around $1k last I noticed.
This one will always be questioned as to if it is real or cooked up patina. I personally feel watches that are lighter on the inside are cooked up. Normal wear should lighten the outer edge more. This is outside the accepted range for blue bezels.
Despite the point of not being naturally tropical, i can't stop thinking how it would look on a light brown tropical dial.....
Maybe I should sell my DNN for a good price, it is in perfect NOS condition. Its wrong for the Ed White anyway
I am selling the bezel above. I am not sure if it's baked or not, I can not tell. This bezel came off of 69 speedy with badly water damage to the dial and movement, ill be listing the case late if anybody interested let me know. I took a picture this morning. This bezel is a chameleon darker when direct sunlight is not hitting.
