Hello! Hope you’re all doing well. As far as first posts go, I think I have a pretty unique case here as I can find very little information on this watch. Though, after further examination by taking it apart, it appears I have a 165.020 reference Seamaster DeVille with the Cal. 550. However, that’s about the end of the information I could gather. I have scoured the internet and have seen 2, maybe 3, like mine albeit in a bit better condition (Yes, I know I’m missing a second hand). Anyway, I could barely find anyone with a similar watch and there was little information from those sources.

With that being said, I would like to know if these particular watches are as rare as the internet has made them out to be? I would also like to know the price of them as the few I saw with the tropical dial were all over the place. As far as the case and band go, they’re in pretty fair condition. It does have the original beads of rice Omega band which is a pretty cool band as well. It is currently being serviced and I am trying to source a new crystal and second hand but that has been almost impossible. I have only found one white one that would be able to fit but it is not the same style like the others I have seen online. So if there is leads as to where to source some parts for it, that would be greatly appreciated as well. Any additional general information such as maybe a year range would be very helpful as well. Thank you all for taking the time to read my post and hope it will be useful for others who might have something like it!

Looks original with military style black dial and white Arabic markers. From mid 1960s Should have white seconds hand.
Watchmaker with Omega parts account should be able to source it for you, along with correct crystal. That’s what they do.
Dont know how rare they are, but original black dial watches from this era in good condition are sought after and yours looks good to me.

These pop up every now and again.
In good condition they go £1200-1500 GBP. Dealers ask £2+k.
As your dial hasn’t aged evenly I’d say it would be less.

Understood, unfortunately the dial is a bit blotchy near the center, but still sounds like it is worth a little more than I originally thought. Thank you for the response!

For reference I used to own these. Both uncommon dials and sought after.
The mint dial I sold for £1450 and the patina’d dial I sold for £750 so dial damage can reduce value by 50%
