Tritium Polar Explorer

Hello guys, thanks all for the previous efforts commenting on the 16800 and 16700. I finally pulled the trigger and made the sub mine.
I would really appreciate if the seasoned collectors here can help me have a look at this tritium Polar too. Any input will be appreciated. It’s a full set and seller asking $5400. I kinda like the patina of the lume plots contrasting the white dial. But the case seems a little bit polished. Hope to hear some feedback. Many thanks in advance!

Unless you are going for a rustic look, I think that there are nicer examples available.

I second this.
Keep looking and give it some time.

I would hold off for a sharper specimen. Maybe it is the photos, but I haven't seen one with such a grey/almost purple hue before.

I’m assuming it’s the photos. Looks like the tint was adjusted to enhance and manipulate the lume in order to appear as a more desirable shade of creamy yellow. But I’m more concerned about the price as opposed to the condition. The lug hole (the one you can see) looks sharp and the crown guards look pretty good too. Sure the bezel is a little scratched, but that is indicative of a lack of serious polishing. Honest wear.

Being a tool watch I like them looking like this. Been looking at Subs lately and I like the worn ones more than the well kept un-scuffed. ( works fine for me as they are a few hundred $ cheaper )

Ya I’d hold off. Case is overpolsihed for an expy 2. Here’s my recent tritium polar pick up for reference 😀

I bought this one about two years ago. When buying a pre-owned watch, condition is what I look for.
